Traditional Chinese Medicine: Acupuncture, Moxibustion & Qi

Dr. Priya Patel April 19, 2026 6 min read

Our integrative approach blends Traditional Chinese Medicine with Ayurveda. Here is what acupuncture, moxibustion and cupping can do for you.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a complete healing system built around the smooth flow of Qi — the body's vital energy — through a network of meridians. When that flow is blocked or depleted, symptoms appear. TCM techniques aim to restore the balance.

Acupuncture, the best-known of these, uses fine needles at specific points to release blockages and stimulate the body's own healing response. It is widely sought for chronic pain, migraines, digestive issues and stress. Acupressure offers a needle-free alternative using targeted manual pressure.

Moxibustion complements acupuncture by warming points with smouldering mugwort, which is especially helpful for conditions aggravated by cold and stagnation. Cupping therapy, meanwhile, uses gentle suction to mobilise blood flow and ease muscular tension.

What makes our clinic distinctive is integration: we combine TCM with Ayurvedic diagnosis so two of the world's oldest medical traditions work together. For many lifestyle and chronic conditions, that combined lens uncovers solutions a single system might miss.
